USERVE Plastic Machinery recently commissioned five new Tederic injection moulding machines at thermoplastic conveyor belt manufacturer Blue Belt.
The Tederic machines are all D series (D100/380, 2 x D160/600, D250/1100, D350/1900), servo-hydraulic units equipped with bi-metallic barrel and screw systems to run engineering plastics.
Established 18 years ago, Northriding-based Blue Belt manufactures the ‘all-in-one’ hybrid plastic belt capable of combining straight, horizontal and vertical radii sections into one smooth, continuous conveyor.
The all-purpose hybrid thermoplastic chain, developed with double sheer and tensile strength characteristics, is suitable for use in high-speed operations, has no moving parts and requires no lubrication. The result is low friction and smooth, quiet operation – the systems is 60% of the weight of comparable steel components and achieves just one-third of the friction factor.
“We find the Tederic machines to be reliable and affordable and their back-up service, spares and friendliness of Userve, the Tederic agent in South Africa, to be of a high standard. This is what makes Tederic an easy choice to make,” said Darron Kensley of Blue Belt.
Userve Plastic Machinery, based in Strydom Park in Gauteng, specialises in all aspects of plastic machinery, with over 20 years’ experience supplying, servicing and refurbishing injection moulders, blow moulders, extrusion lines, bag makers, printers as well as all ancillary equipment. The company introduced the Tederic injection moulding machine, a CE certified machine, to South Africa in 2005.
Userve believes it is important, and that the customer will benefit, if they stay with one equipment brand as this ensures consistency in manufacturing as well as guaranteed back-up and good service.
