EASTERN Cape tool maker and tooling services supplier Injection Technik, celebrated its first year of operation with an open house show at its premises in Port Elizabeth in November.

Injection Technik is a venture by Renier Hechter (technical director) and Stephan Aucamp (business director), formerly of the Spanish converting business Grupo Antolin; they combined their respective skills and it’s been business as usual since the start-up on 1 November 2014.

Renier is qualified at N3 level for plastics technology with 16 years’ experience in tool making; Stephan has a national diploma in operations management and 26 years business experience, mainly in the automotive sector.

“We service most of the first-tier automotive suppliers in the region. Our core activities are repairs and maintenance on the moulds. We have also done work out of the Eastern Cape region,” said Stephan.

“Although we are 'young' in the industry, we already work for most of the first-tiers in the region.”

Injection Technik offers:

  • 24-hr breakdown service offered;
  • on site injection mould repairs;
  • 24-hr laser welding services;
  • supply of Synventive Hot Runner Systems components;
  • mould graining;
  • manufacture of spare such as mould inserts.
